The department of Knowledge & Information Services of
the council of City of Tea Tree Gully (CTTG) is the client of our team project.
The initial scope of the project is to develop an IT strategy for the following
3 years for CTTG council. We were provided with a long list of requirements from
the council and worked for a long time trying to category them and map them to
their strategic plan. However, we cannot come up with any concrete outcome but
assumptions because the given requirements were badly organized and described,
besides, detailed information about the functionalities of their department and
various systems were not available for us.
The useful background information we gained before our first
meeting with Karin Mahoney, the manager of Knowledge & Information Services
is as following:
Located north east of the center of Adelaide, the CTTG is
one of the most populous local government divisions, with a population of
95,476. The council is at Modbury , the business district where the library and
Tea Tree Plaza are located.
The council has been running the ERP system, Authority,
since 1997. The core services and management of the council is supported by the
ERP system.
